"It
is more important to improve your Jiu Jitsu, not to win
or lose" Roger Gracie.
Welcome
to the Roger Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy North
Wales.
Run
by Steve Jones who is currently a BJJ Purple Belt
under Nicholas Gregoriades, who is a Black Belt and
Instructor at the Roger Gracie Academy in London.
Steve still trains at the Roger Gracie Academy during
the week and is extremely proud and honoured to be teaching BJJ under the guidance of Roger Gracie. Steve aims to share his knowledge of
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu he has learnt over the last 7
years with all of the students who train at RGA North Wales.
There
is more to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu than we think, it is
an extremely technical art that can also work with
the simplest of moves. It comprises of throws, takedowns,
submissions, and choke holds. When used effectively
it can give you the quickest route to defeat your
opponent. Each move has a counter or escape which
can lead into another submission, sweep, or revearsal.
Extensively used in MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the
most realistic form of self defence you can learn.
Our classes will be running on a weekly basis in Kinmel
Bay Leisure Centre, and John Bright's Leisure Centre in Llandudno. So if you would like to improve your
fitness, confidence, self esteem, and your Jiu Jitsu
skills to a world class standard, come and join us. We look forward to training
with you soon.
Personal
Tuition
Personal tuition is also
available, sessions are one
hour long and we can work on whatever you need to
improve your BJJ. Please call 07799 532725 for more
details, or if you have any questions about our classes.

Roger Gracie Gets Gold Mundials 2009
Roger Gracie is perfect in his second Absolute Title, 6th world Championship over all.
Alliance is the team champions.
Roger Gracie looked unstoppable this weekend. In nine matches in his weight class and absolute with all nine of the same result, choke from the mount. Most likely the most dominating performance in combat sports since...well Roger finished eight of eight opponents in the same venue to take his weight division and the absolute crown at ADCC 2005.
